About this guide
Among the Trolls Guide is an unofficial fan site for Among the Trolls, the first-person Finnish-mythology survival adventure from AvantGarden Games and 505 Pulse. It is written for players who want to know how the game works rather than read marketing copy.
What this site is
A collection of guides built around player tasks: the first day, survival and crafting, hunting and combat, bridges and water, portals and dungeons, the mythology behind it all, and the launch facts. Where a page states a mechanic, it comes from the game's own material — the Steam store page, the developers' devlogs and announcements, their FAQs and their patch notes.
What this site is not
- It is not affiliated with AvantGarden Games, 505 Pulse or 505 Games, and it cannot fix game bugs or answer support tickets.
- It is not a wiki. There is no published bestiary, coordinate list or drop table for this game, so none is invented here.
- It is not a news site. When the game changes, pages are updated rather than stacked with dated posts.
How the pages are put together
Each guide opens with a short answer, then explains the system in sections, using tables where a table genuinely helps. Version-sensitive material is tied to a specific build, and release facts are separated from demo facts, because the demo had different rules in a few important places: no saving, no adjustable graphics, and chests in the forest that existed only for the demo.
Corrections are welcome
If something on this site is wrong, out of date, or missing, write to the address on the contact page. Corrections with a source are acted on first; if a fix needs a date or a version, that gets recorded on the page.
